2020 Corn Maze

Opening day for the 2020 corn maze has arrived.  The maze will be open weekends 9-5 and M-F by appointment only for large groups (most recent covid-19 # regarding large gatherings (min. 10 people, no more than 50) through the end of Oct. We have spent a lot of time as a family discussing whether we should open due to covid-19.  We have discussed opening protocols with the MD Farm Bureau experts, the local health department and others in the business to understand that all the precautions are taken to ensure everyone’s safety.  Things make look and feel little different with our crowd control, face mask and social distancing policies in place but we feel like we can make this work if we and all our visitors do our part.  The store will be limited to 20 people at one time with exclusive entry only and exit only control points.  We will be selling wristbands outside.  Unless you are strictly shopping in our store, beginning this year all visitors must purchase a wristband whether you do all the activities (maze, hayride, visit the goats and play in the play area) or just some of the activities or just want to sit and watch/visit.  Costs to maintain the farm (play area, etc) for our visitors continues to grow each year, therefore we require everyone to purchase a wristband prior to entering.  Admission is $8.00 for everyone over 3 and is an all inclusive price for the activities just mentioned, as well as mini pumpkin for each paid admission.  3 and under are free with a paid admission, but do not receive a free pumpkin.  Groups of 10 or more will receive a $1.00 off.  Groups must purchase tickets all at the same time in order to receive the discount.  Military/First Responders (EMS, police, DRs/Nurses) will receive a $1.00 of each admission for themselves and their immediate family, just bring a valid id.   The store is open 9-5, 7 days a week with bakery items on the weekends.  To ensure you get some of that bakery yumminess, it’s best to pre-order pies, donuts (pumpkin and apple cider), loaf cakes or cookies.  Peach season may be over but our apples varieties are getting ripe each week.  We currently have gala, golden delicious, sun crisp, honey crisp, ginger gold and fuji.  Come be “CORNFUSED” and see what is “GROWIN ON” at Forrest Hall Farm. If you would like to reserve a pavilion for a birthday party or other type of gathering (church group, GS/BS) please contact us at [email protected]  or [email protected])  From our family to yours, we hope to see you soon, stay safe and well.  We sincerely appreciate the communities’ support in keeping agriculture thriving.  Farmer Joe and Ms. Mary  and the entire Wood family.
